Blue Shield of California offers health programs to members of our Medicare Advantage-Prescription Drug (MA-PD) plans and Medicare Supplement plans. To find information about the services your plan provides, simply select one of the following Blue Shield identification cards.

Blue Shield of California offers Medicare-approved HMOs with a Medicare Advantage-Prescription Drug Plan contract, open to all Medicare beneficiaries who reside within the Plan's service area and are entitled to Part A and Part B. The Plan's prescription drug benefit is only available to enrollees of the MA-PD plan. Minimal copayments, restrictions and limitations apply to some services. Benefits vary by geographic area. You must continue to pay your Medicare Part B premium if not otherwise paid for under Medicaid or by another third-party. You must receive all routine care from plan providers. If you obtain routine care from out-of-plan providers, neither Medicare nor Blue Shield will be responsible for the costs. Blue Shield of California has a contract with the federal government.
